MINGORA: Central Information secretary Awami National Party (ANP), Mia Iftikhar Hussain on Monday said that the high inflation rate has affected every citizen of the country. The adverse policies of the government had turned the life miserable of the poor people.
Addressing a press conference here at Mingora, in Swat district, Mia Iftikhar Hussain said that the increase in the prices of essential daily items, had affected not only the lower class but middle and upper class, was were compelled to cry.
ANP local leaders Ayub Khan Ashari, Khwaja Muhammad Khan, Sher Shah Khan, Jaffar Shah, and other leaders were also present on the occasion
" The minister's everyday issue statement on media, that the global economic crises have resulted in inflation. there is no similar inflation in our neighboring countries including India and Bangladesh", Mia Iftikhar said, adding that the selected rulers were determined to ruin every institution of the state.
He alleged that the incompetent government was imposed by the establishment, and the days of the government were counted. Rejecting electronic voting machines (EVMs), he maintained that these machines were aimed to sabotage the election process, and ANP would never accept, the installations of these machines.
" The government has announced to conduct local bodies elections, however, the political parties are still doubtful, as the government record shows that they don’t honor their own promises", he said and added that ANP wanted peace both in Pakistan and Afghanistan, however; peace in Afghanistan seemed to be difficult as people were struggling for two times meal, due to economic crises.
He maintained that the government was taking control of the lands in Swat by imposing section four without the consent of the locals, which was a violation of the constitution of the State. He added that respect for the constitution was the responsibility of every individual and institution.
